SASKATCHEWANDERER – the best summer job ever!

It’s that time of year again… time to think about Wandering. We have
an exciting opportunity for a post-secondary summer student – in fact,
it’s the best summer job ever.
The JOB:
We want you to travel around our beautiful province, checking out
everything that makes Saskatchewan great — and then tell the world.
Andrew Konoff did it last year – YOU could do it this year.
We will hook you up with a camera, and some equipment; then we want
you to take photos, shoot video, and write stories about your
experiences. We want you to see a lot, so you’ll need a valid driver’s
license to get around. You will need to be at least 19 years old. And
you will need to be a student (that means you are currently going to
school, and are enrolled for classes next semester).
The job pays about $18 per hour. You can count on working close to
40 hours a week, but those hours will need to be flexible (some of the
coolest things happen on evenings and weekends).

To APPLY:
So, if you think you’d be the right person for the job, please send
us a head shot, a short resume (2 pages max) and a short video
explaining why you would be the best Saskatchewanderer (2 min max — you
must shoot and produce the video yourself).
We will shortlist the candidates and then post our top picks online.
That’s right, they will be posted for the world to see, so please ensure
any materials you send us can be shared publicly.
And this is where the fun part starts. We are going to let the public
vote on our shortlist. If you followed along last year, we’re making a
slight change this year. Students told us they need to know sooner
whether or not they’ll have a summer job – and they don’t want to be
shooting contest videos during finals (go figure). So we’re only doing
one round of voting. The public will decide, based on your entry video,
whether or not you get a job interview – so make it good! From there
the Ministry will contact the top 5 for job interviews, and then select
the 2012 Saskatchewanderer.
If you’re still interested, send us your materials. Submissions will
be accepted from Feb. 10 to Feb. 17 at noon. You will be notified if
you are shortlisted.
