Ready to Work Program

The CTHRC works toward building the most professional workforce possible by providing resources to help individuals obtain training and workplace experience and provide national recognition for the skills, knowledge and experience individuals acquire.

The Ready-to-Work Program is a national skills development program designed to assist people with transitions in the workforce. The program offers a mix of classroom and on-the-job training that provides participants with the skills, knowledge, attitudes, and experience required for long-term, stable employment in tourism - the world’s fastest growing industry.

The Conference Board of Canada recently conducted a number of case studies, looking at some of the programming offered by various National Sector Councils.  One such study focused on the CTHRC's Ready-to-Work program and the impact it has on employers and employees.
