Invitation to participate in Outdoor Adventure Guide survey

Outdoor Adventure Guides:

The Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council (CTHRC) is updating the National Occupational Standards for Outdoor Adventure Guide (OAG).

The project is designed to work with industry members across Canada to update the OAG Standards and thus we are conducting a situational analysis to gather additional information about current realities of the occupation.

On behalf of the Territorial and Provincial Human Resource Organizations, we invite you to complete the situational analysis questionnaire online prior to January 16, 2009.

National Tourism Compensation Study

We will begin collecting data for the 2010 study this summer and the survey will remain open through the fall. In 2008 more than 2,000 establishments provided data for over 76,000 incumbents. Current and accurate compensation information is essential to dealing with changing demographics and labour shortages, and to inform attraction and retention strategies, thus we are aiming to garner even more participation in 2010. To receive more information about the upcoming survey, please email research@cthrc.ca.
