CTHRC President Wendy Swedlove Recipient of Industry Award From Ted Rogers School of Management/Ryerson University

(Toronto, ON – November 28, 2008) Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council (CTHRC) President Wendy Swedlove was recently honoured with the Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) Industry Award at an award ceremony held at the Le Meredien King Edward Hotel. The award, presented by HTM Director Dr. David Martin, recognizes an individual who has continued to shine as a leader in the tourism industry and in their involvement with the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Ryerson University.
Ms. Swedlove accepted the award on behalf of the CTHRC for commitment to an educated workforce, dedication to the industry, and involvement with the school, where Ms. Swedlove represents the Council on the advisory board of the HTM program.
The Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management is a leader at Ryerson University for awards and scholarships. This is made possible by generous donations from companies, associations, and those wishing to commemorate someone through a memorial award.
The evening also included the presentation of several other awards, honouring stand-out students in the areas of academic performance, leadership and collaborative teamwork, contribution to the school and community, and commitment to career success.
