CTHRC Seeks Front Desk Agents for Situational Analysis Survey

January 18 2010

Are you working as a Front Desk Agent? We’d like to hear from you!

In collaboration with Provincial Human Resource Organizations, the CTHRC is currently recruiting industry members to participate in a pan-Canadian project to update the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Front Desk Agent.

In August 2009, The Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council, in collaboration with the Ontario Tourism Education Council, initiated a research project to examine the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for the Front Desk Agent occupation. This research determined that an update of the standards is necessary to reflect changes to the occupation and industry.

The CTHRC understands the importance of having this update reflect the needs and wants of the industry, and feels it is critical to have experts in this occupation participate in the revision process. If you are an active member of the industry, your input would be invaluable for the success of the project. On behalf of the CTHRC, we would like to invite you to participate in the current phase of research, consisting of a short online situational analysis survey. This five minute survey will explore areas such as your work environment, professional development, trends and challenges facing your occupation.

Anyone working as a front desk agent is invited to participate. The links to the survey in both official languages are below, and the survey will remain open until February 5, 2010.
