CTHRC Connects with Canada’s WorldSkills Calgary 2009 Participants

On June 26th, 2009, CTHRC attended the Skills Canada Champions Breakfast, in Ottawa. This event recognized the members of Team Canada 2009 who will be participating at WorldSkills Calgary 2009. CTHRC spoke specifically to the Cooking and Restaurant Service Teams, who will now be taking the steps to become emerit certified. The teams were extremely interested in what emerit has to offer, and look forward to learning more about training and certification in their respective occupations.

The WorldSkills Competition is a biennial international event which brings attention to the high standards of skill, competence, and excellence exemplified by trades and technology professionals. Calgary will welcome over 900 competitors who are taking part in an intense head-to-head four-day competition in 45 skill categories.
