Saskatchewan Tourism Education Council (STEC)

STEC is industry driven. Since 1990, the organization has worked with literally thousands of industry professionals in every sector, frontline staff to managers and owners. In 1996, STEC merged with the Saskatchewan Tourism Authority and the Tourism Industry Association of Saskatchewan (TISASK) to create Tourism Saskatchewan.

STEC is non-government. The organization receives some funding from the Government, but it is the tourism industry that determines the programs and services it offers. STEC promotes, coordinates and evaluates industry managed standards, certification, career awareness and training in the five tourism industry groups.
